Review on Hissox Unisex Copper Running Socks: Moisture Wicking, Anti Smell & Cushioned For Hiking & Trekking by Kevin Ilango

Nice looking, comfortable socks; high cotton content

These are good looking socks - a nice blue with some lines that have a good appearance. They're also soft and comfortable with a good bit of stretch. The sizing and crew height were about what I expected. They launder easily enough, but they do seem to shrink some. The thing I'm baffled by about these socks is the fabric. They're mostly cotton which I don't associate with wicking or anti smell properties that these socks are listed to have. I also don't understand the relatively high copper content. It seems like there are a lot of compression socks offered with copper and they may or may not benefit from the copper, but these aren't compression socks, so I'm not sure why there's a good bit of copper. Maybe it helps with antimicrobial properties and odor fighting. I searched online and didn't find a consistent answer. There is a small portion of polyester and elastane, but less than I'd normally expect to see in modern wicking, stretchy socks. So I'm happy to have these, but I'd change the fabric design if I could.

Cons
  • The cushioning is too soft and does not provide adequate impact support
