RCA antennas used to be very long antennas. They are very short and the reception reflects this problem. I have an old RCA with long ones, but one broke about halfway through. One of them broke with a very long antenna and the 10 year old gets a clearer picture and more channels. Now I connect the new one to the TV. Then you will get the best reception. I lean the old against the new. I have a week past the return date on Amazon so I'm sticking with it. Prefer to know if you are not out of your GAV TV channel. It will not give you what you expect from your TV. Tell RCA to make it with 36" antennas or larger antennas, or take it away and sell your junk to another country
