Not as hard as the wax you use for your ear and nose hair. Absolutely do not try to remove any part of your beard on this man or you will cry like a baby. Also, if you drop some of it on its way from the pot to you, say, onto your shoulders, it's going to be terribly difficult to get it off of what it's dripping on.
