I ordered this privacy screen because of privacy protection, although it was significantly more expensive than other comparable products. The privacy screen is great: it does what it's designed to do, the camera cover is neat, and the magnetic design is comfortable. However, I wish the MacBook lid could close completely with the privacy screen on, as it doesn't due to the thickness of the magnetic strip at the top. The reason I'm giving this 3 stars is because of the other items that come with it: the transparent keyboard cover and anti-glare screen protector have issues.1. The anti-glare screen protector is very difficult to apply. The main problem with this is that you have to be extremely precise when aligning. And when I say extreme, I mean laser precision. See, I've applied protective films before. Leveling is never an easy task. For this reason, cutouts are usually 0.5-1.0 mm smaller than the glass surface. In this way, some misalignment can be compensated for while maintaining complete and good adhesion. However, this protection fits EXACTLY the size of the glass display surface of the MacBook. Unless your hands are very hard and your eyesight is razor sharp, chances are you're making at least 0.1mm in each direction (north-south, east-west), the mistake this defender won't forgive you. In my case, I made the slightest mistake in the east-west direction, and now the east side doesn't fit properly. The way it is now it hurts my eyes and I don't know how long it will be before it starts to peel off. The keyboard protector is quite thin and neat, fits the keyboard neatly, you can't type seriously. with him. Note that it doesn't cover F-keys for obvious reasons. If you use a keyboard occasionally and your work environment is filled with mechanical contamination, or you're one of those people who watch videos while on vacation in the East, that's fine. Otherwise it is completely useless. I hope someone finds a better keyboard cover design that attaches better and stays in place. I would have given this review 4 or 5 stars if the glare shield didn't have alignment issues.
