Bought this product to extend IR remotes from my living room to my AV closet. This is a simple setup where the source is only 20 feet from the target and traverses a single stud wall (drywall on both sides). However, the AV cabinet itself generates electrical noise as it contains all of the AV equipment, my 200A switchboard, the Wi-Fi router and the base for the wireless camera. I was a bit worried that all that noise might be a problem but thankfully it's not. Installation was easy. The devices are very compact and I used velcro, to attach a very light weight device to the back of my wall mounted TV. The antennas are easy to align and small too. Everything was well hidden. The IR target was a good size and picked up signals from a variety of angles, not just straight ahead. My only (minor) complaint is that the red LED in the target is constantly lit. The way I've mounted it to the underside of the floor panel means the viewer can't see it in normal lighting, but it's still a little annoying. The signal response is almost instantaneous, no significant delay. I haven't had any problems with the work since the installation. The target is sensitive and the emitters (4 included) appear to be emitting bright IR. Whatever electrical interference was present in my AV cabinet, those things weren't a problem. Furthermore, since they use standard USB power I was able to plug them into a USB port on my Samsung TV and into a USB port on my cable box. ' You don't even have to use the supplied transformer plugs. Bonus and makes the installation more accurate.
