It works exactly as it should with my iPhone 8+ with enough space to keep my phone in a Speck case. The rotating section makes it easy to use portrait or landscape and lock in place. The jaws are nicely padded and can be fine adjusted to grip the phone securely without having to grip it too tightly. The stationary part is tall enough to connect the Lightning connector to the phone and keep it charged while using the phone in this mount, should that be necessary for long camera sessions. It has a nice and simple design, attaches easily to my standard tripod screw and does exactly what I wanted. Good price.
