You surprised me I must say. I had them on my car for over 4 months, I had to get them because my rear inch bumper didn't have a license plate cut out. So instead of using the ugly license plate lights, I bought them, measured and drilled two small holes in the center of the rear bumper and routed the wires through those holes. They come with nuts so the light comes through from the outside and the nuts are inside. I stripped the wires from the original flashlight and twisted them together, put electrical caps on them and wrapped them with tape. Please make sure your power and lights are off, enough light to see what is on my license plate and that is all I need so I don't get pulled over every day because my license plate is in the rear windshield was.
