I have a 6 gallon tank so most plant LEDs will not fit in this tank as they are designed for 'regular' tanks but this fits the bill for my tank aquarium. It came with its own LEDs (many different colors) but I've been planting live plants and didn't think the LED that came with the aquarium gave enough light for some plants. I searched and searched for a good lamp to match my aquarium and before that I got one - it was a real piece of incredible junk. I consulted a website that says this Mingdak flashlight is one of the best on the market, so I chose it and am very happy with it. My plants are as green as can be and are thriving very well, rooting quickly and swaying in the currents generated by the filter. I'm very happy with this light - no gimmicks, no extra colored lights. It has a great switch so you don't have to unplug it and the slim shape and suction cups are perfect for my aquarium. I'm still waiting for the tank to settle down and season before introducing my fish from their quarantine tank. They'll think they've moved into an extravagant mansion. These lights help my little friends create a beautiful aquascape. The only thing I can say about this lantern is that the cord is a bit long, but that's not a problem for those who have outlets far away. I have an iSelect outlet for all of my aquarium peripherals that is located just below the east stand that my aquarium sits on. The lights add to the atmosphere and I can't say enough about them. It's worth every penny and then some. You can't go wrong with this aquarium light.
