There are MANY things in this backpack that do not provide the child with a safe night's sleep. This doesn't mean it's not safe to use or that it's not suitable for packaging and play. With proper monitoring and assembly, this is an excellent sleeper. The various Grow With Me settings are very useful for parents, allowing you to change the settings as your child grows. It is also very easy to assemble! You can assemble it without instructions, it's that simple. The need for mosquitoes is really the only thing I really don't think is necessary. That's not very good for a safe night's sleep, but why? I'm not sure if it's okay to let a baby sleep in a house where mosquitoes are very common. The color is navy blue and can really be gender neutral because it's just a nice solid blue. You can add different leaves to make it male or female. The cradle is solid and does not move when placed on the package. This is very close to being as good as the competition and cheaper than most. Overall, this is a solid 4 stars. I think a slightly cheaper price would have ensured a 5 star rating. The whole set costs $189 at the time of review, and that's a bit pricey for an unknown brand. I think it's still worth buying because of the many uses it has and how long you can use it for. It's super functional for a budget family so you can use it for years.
