I just "upgraded" from a Pixel 3 with a rugged fingerprint reader to an S21 with a reader under glass, and the switch was difficult. At first I thought the fingerprint issues might be related to this protection, and I saw several other reviewers thinking along the same lines. However, over the past few days as I've dealt with the incredibly painful transition back to Samsung, I've found that the fingerprint reader is simply buggy. I had to save the fingerprint 4 times with different approach angles for each save. Once I did that, the fingerprint unlock feature became much more consistent. Try this before burning this product. Also, try breathing onto your thumb/finger to moisten it before touching the reader. I had no problems with the touchscreen function. I didn't drop the phone to test the strength of the glass, but I suspect it will work there as well.
