This drain guard is fine. Nothing more, really. It seems to be effective in stopping hair as a giant hairball appears every time my wife gets out of the shower. What worries me is that it prevents hair from still sticking to the shower floor. Because the water doesn't stop at the bottom, it flows straight down the drain. That means the hairs never stand up until a guard catches them. I have to try and pull most of the hair off the floor in the shower, which I find rude and annoying. About 80% of these come with the tank protector when I take it off, but 20% get stuck on the tank. It's not bad, and I think it has some great uses. This saved us from having to stick one of those screw caps in the tub. I gave 3 stars because it's very average but I don't mind giving 4 stars.
