I guess I didn't realize how much space it would take up. Don't get me wrong, it seems to hold up well with my 3 different cast iron skillets, as well as a few other small non-stick coatings (I noticed a slight bend when I placed the 10" square cast iron pan next to the top, I'm pretty sure, that it gets worse over time if you're not careful), so overall a good buy for what it is. But I'm in an apartment, so countertop space is limited. I can put it in the bottom cabinet but it blocks the shelf and I know I can put the holder on its side but I actually bought it to keep my cast iron flat because I like to keep it lubricated. So: 1. Holds heavy pots/pans well, but try to store heavier items on the bottom three tiers 2. If you have space, great, this helps organize your utensils wherever you like 3. If you don't have a lot If you have space, you should consider this before purchasing.
