I'm not sure I have a better option besides reupholstering
It was a messy job with a very noticeable repair. I have a gray vinyl chair with drops. Follow directions, mix a small amount and apply as directed. Then apply grit paper as directed. The paper stuck and had to be peeled off, leaving marks. When it dried there was no color match. So I repeated the process, the paper jammed again and the color was lost again. Repeated, one more time. Now I have a thick repair that has dried up. The color never came close and the repair is very obvious. Duck tape would probably be the best solution.
