Audiophile experience with Q5k and Es100

I have both the es100 and Q5k. Q5k is more like es100. Tested on phones Tfz β„–3, Jvc Fx Ha 750 (balanced 2.5mm jack retrofit) Sony XB75ap (balanced 2.5mm jack retrofit) What's good: 1. Q5k has more custom EQ presets and overall a better app. It contains more information about the received signal, the battery and the parametric equalizer.2. Smaller and better built.3. More power in 2.5 is balanced, if you put 4V on the output, then the battery life is only 4-5 hours at about the same volume as the es100.4. The sound is cleaner, cleaner highs and slightly better mids than the es100, but more like a cold clinic. Signal stability Q5k Ldac, on es 100 I sometimes hear stuttering but I never heard it on Q5k no matter what I do. Bad: 1. Sound - If you go into PEQ and change 31.5Hz to 20Hz and 63Hz to 40Hz with a wide Q of 0.5 to get more quantity and extended sub-bass with punch, it doesn't hold them , q5k chokes and starts to distort if you don't give it 4v and the performance mode in the power settings and even all sub-bass sets and the return is weaker than that of the es100. The es100 battery lasts longer with the same sound EQ and volume, approximately 6 hours after a year of use versus 4-5 hours depending on the volume.5. The layout of the buttons is also inconvenient, you always tend to press both because they are at the same height.6. The Q5k has a higher noise floor than the es100, it's more noticeable on slow songs and quite disconcerting with low impedance and efficient headphones.7. Pairing with the phone is slower. When you remove the es100 from charging, it automatically connects to the phone almost immediately. On the Q5k, you have to press the pairing button, which is always mis-pressed due to the similarity and identical placement, and wait about 10 seconds for it to be paired.eight. The self-discharge rate is much faster than the es100, I'm not sure if I actually turned it off, I'll add that info later. Verdict: If you're one of those who love a neutral sound, the Q5k will most likely satisfy. You and I can give it a 4 out of 5 and 1 star rating mainly due to the poor battery life at the highest settings and button positions. you're better off with es100.Update. The self-discharge rate is actually excellent, in 24 hours the Q5k only lost 1% of the battery.
