I bought a 3w for my 20 gallon tank because of the crap I collect here on the Texas beaches. My DI was missing from my RODI water filtration system for a while so I ended up with a very nasty build up. Little did I know the DI part was defective, so I switched water to water. As a last resort I bought this cheap little thing and I can tell you it was probably the best $15 I've spent on a saltwater tank. Within a week the flower withered and disappeared. The only annoying thing about this unit is that you have to turn it on once a day, but to be honest I spend quite a bit of time looking in my aquarium, oh crap it was just a given. definitely buy again for a little cheap tank of shit.
