Far away on vacation, took a lot of photos with my LG G3. The cloud then started whining that I ran out of storage space, my settings->storage and USB also showed that I liked the concert. woe to me Brilliant idea: hey, doesn't my phone have an unused SD card slot? Why not just get more storage? Looks like 2016. Went to Revain, got this card for under $10. Turned off the phone. I opened the phone (easy, googled it) and put it inside. Turned on the phone, it installed itself. Voila, I now have another 29.71GB and can take random high-resolution shots without having to keep going back to my photo albums to delete them again! Life is good. (See what I was doing there? You know, LG? Life is beautiful? Ha) Just a few quick notes: * As usual, "32G" doesn't mean 32G bytes in binary terms. Card manufacturers always use SI units to increase storage capacity. Typically, the delta for concerts is 6.9%. So 32 * 0.931 should be 29.8. I got 29.71 gigabytes of space, which is correct.* Every time I restart my LG G3, I get a message that the card has been unmounted and then mounts again. Not a big deal, although I then have to remember to go into the Gallery app (see screenshot) to indicate that any other pictures I take are saved to the card rather than the phone's internal storage. It is of course due to the configuration of my phone rather than the card itself.
