Size asterisks removed to distort sizing information and difficulty turning on the light. You can trim the length of the collar to fit a 10 inch neck. However, the width of this collar is not suitable for such a small neck. And the fittings (plastic clips) are gigantic. My dog could wear it as a necklace. Not like a collar with leash. I understand it's wide to accommodate the light strips and battery compartment. But this makes it impossible to comfortably and safely carry a small dog. If the collar is too wide for a very small dog, it can be easy for the dog to slip out of the collar if it gets scared and tries to get away by stepping back. If you have a 6 to 12 pound dog, this might work for you. It's well done. Just not for very small dogs.
