If you think it's a combination of fixed shower head and hand shower. . . You are absolutely correct. Each of them has three effective modes: soft jet, atomizing mist and a narrow massage jet. There are some additional settings for each head that combine them, but not very effectively. In any case, I don't think combinations will contribute much. Do you just want a shower? Use a soaking spray. Want hotel style fog? Do you understand. Wanna drop that knot off your shoulder? The massage jet is not elegant, but powerful. You can then use either the fixed spray head or the hand sprayer, or both at the same time. Your water pressure will likely be lower if you use both, but that's to be expected. Some people recommend modifying the base to remove the pressure regulator and see other reviews for instructions on how to do this. I don't need it and I haven't bothered with it. The installation was basically easy. The instructions were a little strange, but nothing complicated here. It comes with threading tape, but the install doesn't say to use it (oddly enough) and I didn't need it. It worked the first time. The only point of criticism: the hose on the hand sprayer is quite short. Not too short, but not generous either. On the other hand, you can easily buy a longer hose, which comes standard. It would make more sense to mount the hand shower low and the fixed nozzle high. I'll add a pipe extension to bring everything down, but I suspect the handheld sprayer will end up hanging by the shower stall where it's much easier to reach. But really for money? It's a damn deal. If it's still working well after two years, I have no complaints.
