I purchased this 6ft security cable to keep my laptop from slipping while stored at a nonprofit organization. I'm not worried about theft. I just want to make sure no one "borrows" it and forgets to return it. These cables will prevent such things, but they are not a reliable anti-theft device. None of those. Anyone can pry them out with a screwdriver and enough force. The aim is to deter the occasional thief or 'borrower' and this cable gets the job done at a very reasonable price. Why pay more for a super thick expensive cable when the weakest link is the little tab, which goes into the computer. It fully met my expectations. Thank you!
