Extremely narrow for a passport. I have no idea why this passport holder wasn't a little bit better for storing a passport as that is its main purpose. I got one for my wife and hers was too tight too. You have to stretch this pocket to fit in your passport and still be able to pull it out again. Use a non-sharp object such as B. a butter knife hard enough to pry and stretch the leather pouch. Be careful not to overdo it and tear the material. It was still tight after stretching, but not as bad as when it was received. However, there were ample pockets for credit cards and cash and overall it served the purpose well and fitted nicely into my smaller front pockets on my cargo pants. Whether the RFID shielding works or not, I don't know how easy it is to verify that it works.
