Review on Burly Brand B15 1010 Voyager Tank by Micky Lovett

Looks great but the zippers are short lived and not waterproof at all.

I like the look of this bag but it didn't last long. The main zipper started to open for no reason. This almost always happens when there are many things. Not oversaturated, but full. The zipper would just pop open and my clothes and gear would fly off the interstate. One of the latches securing the zip pulls out of the pocket as well. Wax won't do a thing, this bag and all of its contents get completely wet every time it rains. Even light rain. It doesn't come with a case, so it's just a way. It's easy to attach the bag to the seat, but if you want to attach it to the luggage rack, it's much more difficult. I ended up cutting the base plate from the cutting board stock and using a rivet gun to attach new straps to the plate. The plate attaches securely to the luggage rack and then the bag attaches to the plate and can be removed with quick release buckles. The buckles are unfortunately not standard so I had to cut them off the original seat belts. You can use it as a tank bag, but I think the real use is in the rear or luggage rack. And when used on the passenger seat or luggage rack, the magnetic fenders get in the way. They're just bulky. I'd rather have two bags - a tank bag version and a tail bag version - than one that does double duty. This improves the user experience. You don't need all those buckles and loops on a bag when you're using it as a tank bag, and you don't need all those magnets and tabs when you're using it as a tail bag. Anyway, I'll see if my local tailor can sew me a new zipper and maybe I can get more use out of it.
