Closet by Revain: Clothes Rack

I love these closet mounting tubes. I've bought several sets and rebuilt them into larger pieces. We used strips of plywood attached to studs in the wall and then attached metal flanges to the plywood. My carpenter swears I buy my clothes by the pound and was worried the poles would hold up. He now believes in their strength, strength, thickness and durability. In my opinion, just putting it in drywall means you're getting yourself into trouble. Must be attached to a pole or tree securely attached to the pole. Pretty easy to assemble. Some parts had paint in the threads so mating can be tricky, but patience and scraping excess paint off of these areas will make reassembly much easier. If you want to take the parts apart and need to use a wrench, be sure to put masking tape on the pipe. Do not use the wrench directly on the pipe as this will scratch the paint. Lay the entire section on the floor before attempting to attach it to the wall. Much easier to hang up when there are two people. I LOVE my new closet!
