Please read the reviews carefully and be sure to check out the photos posted by others. I had some doubts, but after studying the reviews and photos, I decided on the "black" pattern of this coating. Other styles are see-through and transparent, the "black" is viscose, so the fabric is cheap and flimsy, but nothing can show through. Unless you want a sheer dress, avoid blue and black stripes. I checked the stitching on the ropes that others have complained about and it appears to be on purpose. Some parts of the dress are not adjustable or shouldn't move, so the fabric is sewn to the ropes in those places. The remaining parts of the dress are adjustable and the fabric in these places is not attached with ropes. You can adjust the waist of this dress with the back/side ropes. Just pull the rope tighter through the fabric and the waist will tighten. This only works if you have a small center part. If you have a round tummy, you won't have much rope left to put on since you'll have to tie it at the back. The length was fine for me, but if you are tall you may have problems if you want a long dress. I ordered this in size XL, my usual dress size is 16. I'm 5ft 5in and 38DD on top. It fits me well because I'm heavy on the top and bottom and thinner in the middle. I had trouble getting the dress on at the hips but that seems to be a common problem no matter what size you are. I recommend this dress, it's very sexy and shows skin. Remember you get what you pay for. If your standards are high, move on. Overall I am happy with my purchase.
