Review on ALAZCO High Visibility Magnetic Signs Trucks by Jeffrey Nunes

DO NOT USE IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT

I fitted 2 of these to a car for sale which had sat for about 6 months in summer/fall. The car was parked with one sign pointing north and the other south. The sign facing the equator faded in the sun, which I didn't realize at first, but when I tried to remove the sign in the fall, it got stuck. It turns out that the magnetic substrate burned and fused to the car. Using my hand, I managed to remove only part of the shield, the substrate was so stuck that the top layer of foil peeled away from the magnet when I tried to remove it. The part of the backing that I was able to remove has some paint damage (light spots of paint) and the part that I couldn't remove manually needs to be removed with a hair dryer. Given that the whole point of this sign is for people to see it, it should be able to withstand outdoor use (a big necessity, I know). This can be useful in the shade, e.g. B. under a carport, but it somehow defeats the purpose. Do yourself a favor and obey traditional signs.

Pros
  • Adheres to most metal surfaces
Cons
  • Discontinued
