Weak Templates - WHERE IS EMPTY?!?!?!

Oh. So he has "shots"? I bought this because I wanted to install a free standing outlet in my garden and this was what I needed to comply with regulations. I bought a box at a flea market for next to nothing but just wanted to fit a GFI in a double box. One star deducted for not including a "blank" cover for one side/half. The other two stars were removed because the template for a GFI in the center of the box, where it joins the two halves, is so flimsy that it shatters like GD potato chips if someone tries to separate the unwanted plastic pieces. That's a good idea that's not well done. Simply "break off with pliers". Yeah right. Luckily the inspector who signed my release didn't look into that piece of shit. Two stars because it's very close to what the NEC code requires and it's cheap. Get what you pay for. Maybe a bit of sealer or epoxy will bring it back to the function it was designed for. Note: After rain, the condensation in this cover will be the last to dry out. Maybe I'll come back to this in an update in the future. Get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Sockets and accessories
Cons
  • Large and bulky
