After a few days, the item became very loose. It lost its bond and became worn and tasteless by the end of the 8th day, I think; I threw it away in disgust. I am very careful with my medical items and this one was ABSOLUTELY faulty. In hindsight I should have photographed his last days - too bad. Instead, I smashed it in disgust! I may have gotten a defective one, but I haven't had too many issues with anything else I've bought that I haven't resolved right away. I just can't go wrong with this product. I bought this particular brace because it advertised a light weight that is comfortable to sleep in as I usually use it most of the time and has been very functional for years. Pass it on, or rest assured that if mine was faulty, yours isn't. I was so happy when it arrived but now.
