Good deal for the money!

I bought it mainly to use with my computer's sound, but it also connects to my flat screen TV. It is connected to the laptop via Bluetooth. Connection was easy and instant, and never dropped (so far). The TV is hooked up to the AUX inputs and was easy to hook up too. I use vintage Jensen 3-way speakers, 8 ohm impedance and 10" woofers. They were top notch in the 70's and still sound fantastic today. the floor will rumble when I pick it up. Until now (I once had) am I'm happy with that. Haven't tried the radio yet, but most of the radio I listen to is on the internet anyway, so the values don't matter to me. I tried the USB input with a flash drive and that's listening feels good too. Mic inputs or SD inputs I haven't tried yet. The unit is well made and solid, all the controls feel good. and I appreciated the power button on the front. The minus column will be: > The track selection for USB only moves up or down when selected and no metadata is displayed so you cannot browse the disc for specific tracks > When connected to Bluetooth, 2 loud connection tones are played by rc h the speakers. VERY LOUD! The volume on the amplifier goes to 0 every time you turn it or the computer on. > The volume control has no pointer so you cannot see where it is set. Indicators on other dials are notches only. It's hard to see. I think I can solve these problems with a little dimming. > The equalizer function is useless. Some settings seem useless for every application. The 2 I use the most are "Jaz" (boosts high and low frequencies) and what seems to say "nO.-", which I think is a flat setting. All in all, IMO, it was a good deal. Great sound, easy to connect and takes up minimal desk space. Updated 11/7/20; The device started shutting down randomly. From time to time the sound will mute and the display will turn off. If I restart it with the power button it works for a while and then again. Too bad, I liked the sound and functionality, but it's just unreliable. I am returning this device. updated 11/9/20; Okay, I really want to like this thing. Bluetooth glitches aside, I think it's a good deal. Lately it hasn't turned off and the display has always stayed on. The sound is really good and the various functions work as they should. I'll hold this for a while and see how it goes. I will update if there are any changes or if it goes wrong and I will either send it back or throw it away. As long as I enjoy the sound.
