Cannot be picked up before October 21st. I set it up and it suits my needs. It would be better if there was a more detailed guide. I thought it had a built in rechargeable battery but USB is the power source. Due to the lack of a good guide I had to tweak until I figured out how to access the correct bluetooth connections. I suspect that previous "not-so-great reviews" were probably from people who weren't tech savvy. In general I am very satisfied. In addition, the speaker only communicates with one Bluetooth at a time. If you're trying to sync with your laptop, make sure your smartphone isn't connected to the speaker. Very good value for money.
