Different people look for different properties in lip care products. Some want the texture of petroleum jelly or some type of oil, some want a product that lasts all day, some want a scented lip balm. Of course there are people who do not need any of these special features and therefore do not buy a lip product. I shop by ingredients and price and use SPF lip balm throughout the day. I didn't want any flavorings or added flavors, including rosemary extract. I didn't want a tinted product either. Considering the price, I've also severely limited my options. This lip balm is affordable and fragrance, flavor and color free. It feels light on my lips yet keeps them moist. It's a bit dense in texture but doesn't stretch out on my lips. Overall I'm very happy with it. It does what it's supposed to and meets my needs. There are two things that concern me a bit. First, there are multiple ingredient lists: one on the product page, one on the tube label, and one on the container. Everyone is slightly different. So I'm wondering if the product will be consistent when I reorder. Secondly, this lip balm contains no preservatives. This is not unique to this product and some people choose not to use any preservatives. The symbol "lasts" refers to 12 months. I'm really not sure. Some ingredients can go rancid if given enough time. But what worries me the most is the lack of preservatives - the growth of bacteria. You can disinfect the product with isopropyl alcohol, but I would prefer the product to be antibacterial. Since I am satisfied with the price and performance, I recommend this lip balm.
