Review on Thunderbolt Charging Compatible MacBooks Dockingand by Kevin Hawkins

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good cable but not certified by Intel.

Thunderbolt 4 cables are the best cables money can buy right now, even if you don't currently need them. This cable works in TB4, TB3 and all USB modes. Due to its 2m length, it must support 40Gb/s data connections via TB4, TB3 or USB4. Thunderbolt 4 cables are compatible with just about anything that has a USB-C connector, so it's good to have them handy. There's no real way to verify that this cable has a reliable 40Gb/s throughput as I'm not aware of any devices. currently that support this speed. maybe if you stripe 3 NVMe drives in a RAID 0 configuration or use every single port of a very large TB4 dock. I'm sure this review will quickly become obsolete and the market will be flooded with 40Gb/s peripherals, but for now this cable is for universal compatibility and an investment for the future. available, you need to buy something that exactly meets the standards. Now the standard for TB4 is that Intel certifies cables running at 40Gb/s and this cable does not appear to be certified by Intel. Not to mention that this cable doesn't run at full speed. You can only test it if you have very expensive hardware. It offers all the benefits of cross-compatibility with all TB and USB standards, so as an all-around cable it's a well-made cable. It is definitely cheaper than 2m TB4 cable. It connects to anything I can offer it at a reasonable speed. I'd probably stick with certified cable for now unless you have full bandwidth available to test it out right away.
