This is a really nice dress! I used it with a petticoat from Grace Karin ($15 at Revain). It was the perfect length for me - 5ft 3in. I like my dresses to be more of a true vintage length, so they were about mid-calf. I don't think it's too long. Will definitely be closer to the knee on tall people. It fits well, maybe 1/2 inch tighter than I expected but not too small. The only thing I didn't like was that the zipper was only at the waist. The top of the side zip ended with a strip of fabric around the chest. It didn't matter much, but I wasn't expecting it. I'm a US size 16-18, I usually carry my weight on my lower abdomen, shoulders and a bit on my back. I would not recommend this dress for those who have an hourglass or pear shape or have very large breasts and a small waist as the waist is tapered and most of the stretch is on the bust. I'm 38/40C and you can't get any bigger than D with this strap size in the size I bought (2x). My waist is 36" and I don't think there was much room with the zipper etc. Just a little info to help you determine the size if you are a size 16-20. There is a lot more fabric on the lower legs , so if you have a pear shape, this dress is for you too!
