This toy is very cute and appears to be made of decent quality material. My kids under 7 love to play with it. However, as a parent, I don't agree with that. I'm sure someone thought this would be fun, but this cute little dog is giving off gas about every 60 seconds. There are lots of cute barks in between, but then the inevitable "slap/buzz" echoes through the house. The first time was kinda funny. It didn't take long for it to get annoying. The manufacturer should change his mind and glue a cute bark. My kids rode this all day and I'm almost ready to smack the toy in the neck. I just have to wait for the batteries to die. Which brings us to the second big problem. If the toy is large enough for AAA or AA batteries, larger batteries should be included. Button batteries are inconvenient, relatively expensive, and dangerous for small children. For the size of this toy, there's no reason why it shouldn't use a couple of AAA batteries. And the final problem, as many others have pointed out, is that it doesn't have an on/off switch. The fact that this dog is stepping on the gas so often makes the switch a critical and silly oversight. If I had known about these shortcomings, we would have kept looking for another option.
