The original pedal for my Singer Featherweight sewing machine needed rewiring. I decided to buy a new pedal and I was very satisfied. Because of its design, it is actually easier to use than the original. I don't know if that reduces the value of my car, but I threw away the old pedal. Anyway, I'm not going to sell my car. I would recommend this pedal to anyone who owns a Featherweight 221.
