Great headlights, very bright but annoying cable comes from the side instead of from behind

Very good, bright LED bulbs for my truck. They make a big difference in visibility compared to traditional bulbs. The only downside I found is that the wire comes out the side and not the back. This makes it difficult on my 1994 Ford Ranger to get the cylinder lamp holder to go over them and hold them in place. I got them to push themselves in but I'm a little concerned that the wire might snap and start a fire... I put the cylinder over the bulb but I had to secure it with tape. I plan on pulling them back out and reinforcing the wire with tape so it doesn't snap and start a fire.
