I don't usually write negative reviews but thought it would be worth sharing my experience to save someone from buying this bedding set. I was excited to order these because I could smell other "tank tops" sheets in stores and thought it was time to treat myself. Unfortunately, they don't feel like a soft t-shirt at all. They resemble an army blanket; rough and not at all "soft like your favorite t-shirt". I thought washing might change them, but it doesn't. I will not expose anyone in my house to these sheets - they will not be on any bed. Rags can work better when cut. Three pluses if you don't mind a scratchy military blanket: 1) the pockets are deep for thicker mattresses (not sure about toppers), 2) they didn't shrink in the dryer, 3) they retained their dark gray color after washing .
