I only went a half size up because she is 7 years old and I don't plan to buy another pair in less than a year but the reason they fit so well I think is because the toe box is nice and wide, it is not necessary make it a wide shoe but it fits the size your child is right now, if anything they will be too big for you to wear them with a double toe or a little trick i do learned when i worked in a shoe store for 20 years, if you know someone who has a business or a good family business, they are sure to have a regular phone pad that looks like the front of the insole, which is in an arc with no heel is cut off.
