This is our second child and we have tried several monitors over the years. They all had their own issues, whether it was poor battery life, a bad monitor-to-camera connection, or just stopped working. I have to say this monitor is one of the best we've had. ... definitely top 2. Battery life is great, connectivity is solid. I take the monitor to the basement, 2 floors above me, at the other end of the house after the child has fallen asleep, and the connection remains stable! It has a good clear picture, good night vision although there is a slight lag/stutter in the movement but the aim here is to see your baby is sleeping and hear if he is crying. The volume is nice and adjustable, and there's what's known as a VOX mode, where the screen goes to sleep and turns off until it hears a noise, at which point it turns back on. This mode also has sensitivity settings so you can control how quiet or loud the sound is enough to wake the screen. Time will tell how well this monitor will hold up, but so far we've been incredibly impressed with it. Highly recommended!
