When the original Koss would not do the function, I was forced to immediately purchase headphones. I put my faith in the brand since I believe Sony to be an industry leader in music and because the Wolfmans have been on the market for quite some time and should make excellent headphones. In a nutshell, the headphones have unacceptable levels of high frequencies. Because there is no bass at all (I initially believed it was in the ear cups), it is physically difficult to listen to rock at all because the sound combines into a continuous whistling. I used the largest of those that were included in the kit; however, this did not result in the sound becoming deeper. The fact that the headphones do not have a volume reserve was yet another unwelcome finding. I had no idea they were keeping such a low profile. Even when I turn up the volume all the way on the player in the metro, there is still "no ice." I will make an effort to swing them, but I believe there is nothing there to swing on. The price of 450 dollars cannot in any way be justified.
