I love this duvet! it's beautiful (although mine doesn't seem to glow in the dark like someone said they have lol). it's soft, dogs love it, and both sides absorb liquid without letting it through to the other side. I don't like the bullies, I have big falls and I don't always find fast. I want it to soak in and stay in the duvet until I can clean it. This one does it on both sides. I have found that many of the waterproof duvets need to be washed before they will work as advertised. I had no problems washing, always put 2 bath towels in, never had to wring out more than once, I'm not sure if it was the towels. I dry outside. The only "problem" for me is that the largest size just isn't big enough for my needs. I put this on the double bed and also need to cover the sofa seat cushions. but if the size suits your needs, I recommend. By the way, during my research I also noticed that water resistance and water resistance are defined differently by everyone! I define how. waterproof, water collects in drops, the fabric "resists" its absorption. waterproof - liquid won't reach your bed etc. "soak" seems like a floating term lol.
