I've been using this camcorder off and on for a few weeks and while it has some limitations and feels a little, well, "plastic" it's a capable little one video camera. I appreciate that there are a lot of accessories in the box, you get: - camcorder - 2 batteries - wall charger adapter - USB charging cable - camcorder storage bag - IR remote control - HDMI cable - instruction manual The instruction manual is quite detailed and easy to read. The manual uses a few odd English words, so it could use a little more proofreading, but other than that occasional chuckle, it's easy to understand. The summary of the features of this camera would be that you have a photo mode and a video mode with this camcorder. Photo ranges from 48M (9216 x 5184) to VGA (640 x 480) and video from 4K (2880 x 2160 24 fps) to VGA (640 x 480 30 fps). This camcorder supports SD cards up to 256 GB. Photos are recorded in JPEG format and videos in MP4 format. Now it's not 4K as it seems to me. To me, 4K is 3840 x 2160. 2880 x 2160 isn't widescreen, it's a 4:3 aspect ratio. This camcorder has a video option, 2560 x 1440 30 fps, which is the one I use the most with this camcorder when I record on it. picture quality on this camcorder. Soft, not very soft. It's normal quality but not too crunchy or anything like that. Even my old digital camera can't beat it in terms of video quality. I have a certain digital camera that I use for a lot of things, especially outdoors, as it's a bit dated, 10 years old, so older technology. This old digital camera can also record videos, but the maximum resolution is 720P (1280x720). The picture and video quality of this old digital camera is superior to this camcorder. This camcorder does not use the best image capture technology. I like the touchscreen on this camcorder, it's easy to navigate. The buttons are also easy to navigate. There are many accessories included. Batteries can only be charged in the camcorder, an external charger is not included. If you are using an SD card with this camcorder for the first time, you must remember to go through the menu and format it in the camcorder. The manual is detailed and explains well how to operate this camcorder. Although the picture and video quality is poor, I find use for this camcorder. It's small enough that I can keep it in my bag or in the car when I need it or need it somewhere, but it just doesn't offer the quality that some of the larger, more established camera manufacturers have. So for me it works more like a "backup" camera/camcorder. If you are used to certain brands of cameras and their image quality, this camcorder is not for you.
