Review on Sennheiser HD 206 Closed-Back Over Ear Headphones - Discontinued Model by Keisuke F Kuga ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The quality is at zero, very sorry for the money spent.

I am very disappointed that I advised a friend to buy them after reading the reviews and they are all good, in the price range of 1500. I listened at work in comparison with AKG, which I bought inexpensively in the region of 1000 - you can’t even compare with purchased headphones. I did not expect such a result from the Sennheiser HD 206, I definitely won’t put it on my ears and it’s uncomfortable in front of a friend. Is it really that everyone who writes reviews of normal headphones did not listen or listen to MP3 128 kbp?

Pros
  • Lightweight, fit well and sit comfortably (the cups are slightly swivel), soundproofing is normal. The bottoms are not bad (a little velvet). Includes adapter for 6.3.
Cons
  • The sound in total is simply terrible (I listened to several FLACs through the DAC) - The tops are deaf and not transparent, the middle is all blurry without detail, it turns out to be a complete mess (earth and sky even compared to inexpensive AKG K514). The cord is slippery, like from a canal.

Pros below: Sound quality, accentuated bass with moderate mids and slightly ajar high frequencies. Cons: Without a preamp, you can’t swing it to working volume .
