We bought this clock to calm geofencing when we send our child outside to play. We tested it for 2 weeks before sending it back. We took the watch for a walk to see if it would trigger an exit from the geofence. Only worked 50%. The scariest part was when the clock pinged my kid who was going in the opposite direction to the freeway or even to our old address where the clock never existed. I got very annoyed when he said that my child was in a completely different state several times a day while the watch itself was on the counter. Cellular service comes from T-Mobile towers, mostly located in my area. A $15/month subscription is worth the reassurance, but only if it works for sure. I returned the watch and canceled my subscription. i believe the customer service is in asia depending on what time of day i get the reply. My kid loved the watch and only had one complaint: it needed a keyboard to type messages.
