Our household uses silicone mats to put under art making around our kitchen table. Playdough, painting, waterbeads, slime, kinetic sand. a silicone mat goes under it all! We love that it's incredibly easy to clean, paint washes right off and it protects our dining room table. This mat is a step above every other mat we use! I love that once side is more "adhesive" (shiny and tacky feeling to stick to your surface) and the top is powdery smooth and art supplies don't stick to it. This mat is more generously sized than every other mat we have and I LOVE that! It's perfect for my five year old whose messes often extend past our regular placemat sized silicone mats. I also love that this mat doesn't have any sort of design on it to detract from our art masterpieces. Clean up is easy and I know this will become our new preferred mat for every project.
