In 1919, when I bought them for a whopping $18.990, I listened to music on these headphones. Then, I liked everything, but the sound seemed incredibly muffled to me because the ear cushions weren't aligned properly. Over the course of two years, I tried a wide variety of headphones, including some from the Chinese brands havit and tronsmart as well as those from klipsch, sony, sennheiser, and others in the same price range. Each and every time there was an issue. They don't fit properly, provide a lifeless sound, or are too quiet to hear anything. So, in 2022, I spit and bought a pair of AirPods 2, then used an equalizer to get a high from the sound (hey, it's all relative!). But just the other day I saw that RHA was on sale. I paid $2,800 for them (don't you find that after 2 years the price always drops?) After a month of heavy use in a variety of settings, including the street, the house, and the office, neither the iPhone 11 nor the most recent iPad Air showed any signs of malfunction. The quality of the sound is what really sells these headphones. Although the aac codec, which is used by the vast majority of headphones when linked to Apple hardware, is generally agreed upon as being of higher quality than sbc, my impression is that the frequency range is significantly smaller in all other headphones I've listened to. The loudness may use a boost, but otherwise it's fine (and excellent for the ears). Aside from that, I recently listened to RHA TrueConnect 2 and found that the high ones cut the ear, even if you unscrew them to the negative, and that the low ones no longer exist, but that the volume was turned up. The sound guide is relatively short and the included ear pads are even shorter, so you have to force the earpiece firmly into your ear, which might be uncomfortable for your ear cartilage over time. I upgraded to larger earplugs, and now everything's great. And it was a good fit and sound. Even though the headphones are two years old, I still think they're a great value for the price. They showed up to me nearly at 0% discharged, but they put in more effort than is necessary, losing 10% in an hour, which is, of course, bizarre. However, if the headphones and case both reach zero and collapse, there is no way to bring them back to life.
