A solid body that gets the job done

Tired of balancing my Jetson Nano on the box it came in. So I chose this case to better protect the Nano. (I also ordered an M.2 WiFi card at the same time as it wasn't included in this kit.) The assembly instructions are descriptive and fairly clear. My biggest issue was positioning the WiFi cables when installing the Nano on the bottom of the case. With a bit of fiddling, I was able to wirelessly install the circuit board in front of the opening in the case that has the connectors. The assembly photos show how the Wi-Fi antennas attach to the chassis before installing the 40-pin I/O expansion board. I found that I couldn't install an expansion board with the antenna connector installed and had to remove the antenna connector, plug in an extension cord, and then reinstall the antenna connector. Speaking of antennas: Please note that the antenna holes in the housing have a flat area that must match the flat area on the antenna connector. My antenna connectors didn't have a flat so I drilled a hole to remove the flat and everything worked fine. This issue probably wouldn't have occurred if I'd bought the version of the case kit that came with the Wi-Fi card instead of buying it separately from another vendor. I had no issues with the expansion card getting in the way of the case when I assembled mine as others have reported. The cooling fan for the kit is a 4-wire fan working with PCM control. It allows a speed range from 0 to 255. The instructions show how to set the boot script to set the average fan speed. I haven't checked if the speed can be dynamically controlled based on GPU temperature. Note that the fan will not spin at all unless you follow the instructions for setting the fan speed. The default speed is zero. So do not worry. I'm using a USB camera, so I didn't connect the CSI camera (Raspberry Pi V2 camera) to the board. Therefore, I have no comments on this matter. As an added plus, the kit includes extra screws and a handy screwdriver. Having extra parts is always better than finding missing things! Overall this is a good kit that offers a solid case to protect the Nano as well as a PCM controlled fan. I would recommend this set to anyone looking for it.
