If you're looking for a full size keyboard WITHOUT the number pad --- look no further. Based on other reviews, I'm not the only one having trouble finding a keyboard that DOES NOT have a number pad (10 keys) but has full size keys. And with the same key assignment as my laptop. It was difficult (at least for me) to find the article for several years. It's the same size (horizontally and vertically) as the keyboard on my Surface laptop. The buttons are the same as on the Surface laptop. Ideal!. It's nice to have a mouse next to the keyboard, just like when using a laptop. (and not far to the right of the 10 button number pad which I don't use anyway) I was hesitant to buy based on a few comments I read. Here's what I think of these reviews: Comment one: Some people have complained that it's a plastic base and not metal. My reaction after using the product? "So what if it's plastic, it's strong and light. Everything is OK. And I'm pretty sure every other external keyboard I've ever used was plastic." Comment two: Some people have complained about latency when waking up from hibernation mode. My reaction after using the product "There is NO noticeable lag for me. Perhaps this reviewer had other settings on his/her computer that were causing the lag."
