Easy assembly. Tools are not required. This is a sturdy little bedside table. I have a 12 inch foam mattress over a wire slatted base and it sits about an inch under the bed. My bed is next to the French windows so the height is perfect for putting things up and still being able to open my window. It's very short so read the measurements! Great product for the price. Good for small sized rooms will probably be cramped with a lamp or something. But for cell phone, lotion, medicine, novel, it's great. There are 3 storage spaces: top, inner shelf and drawer. The box is really strong because it's cardboard, deep and useful. I recommend!
