Review on Brondell UC300 Three Stage Counter Filtration by Mark Cannon

Let me start by saying this is a great water filter. It was very easy to install. The kit explained everything very well. Almost everything just clicked into place, and the only other tools I needed besides my fingers were a crescent-shaped adjustable wrench and a screwdriver. It took me less than 30 minutes to install everything, including removing an unused countertop soap dispenser and replacing it with this water filter. I was a bit nervous reading some of the reviews people said the fittings didn't fit or the water wasn't coming out well or something. I would recommend that you just ignore all of these reviews. I have standard US 1/2" pipes with regular check valves under the sink with a compression fitting on top. The included T-connector was perfect. It fits snugly between the supply line and the faucet to the sink. I like that the faucet has its own independent shut off for the water filter so you can turn it off if you just need to work on the filtration system. I also really liked that the tee is all metal and not a plastic fitting or worse, a tap that pokes a hole in the copper pipe which is just awful, I used to have one like that. The fitting supplied with this kit is perfect and can be easily removed later if you decide to just remove the entire system. I also really like the indicator light on the nozzle. It's a simple thing, but I'd like to have something that reminds me when it's time to change filters without having to remind myself, without adding a reminder to my calendar or anything. As for the water, it tastes great! It tastes so much better than tap water and tastes better than the $50 water filter I have to change in my KitchenAid refrigerator every six months. We have had various water filters for over 10 years now and the water that comes out of this filter is as good as what I have had in the past. Another thing I liked about this filter is the detailed test sheet they have. on the product detail page. It gave us just a little more confidence that this product had been tested to reduce or eliminate contaminants in our cared for water compared to some other less expensive water filtration systems. This may sound a bit like an advertisement, but I wanted to let you know how happy we were with the product and that I'm glad we bought it. Hope this helps you with your purchase decision.
