Comparison: Genie, Plus, Classic*Hope this review and photos are helpful! This is the review I wanted when trying to decide on a decor. We've been using Genie for 21 months now and I look forward to continuing. The sleeves were annoying and as a result the unit had to be shaken/rocked frequently to make the diapers fall off. Sometimes, with a large, full diaper, I had to push them in. Pooh. This doesn't happen with size NB, but with size 4 yes. Also, Genie cases are slightly more expensive. Also: I love it! The flap is spring loaded for the correct diaper weight and closes very quickly. I thought the lower height might be my gripe, but since I don't have to push the diaper in, it's not a problem. My only complaint is that the bags make a noise with the plastic when the bag is removed (think grocery bag). This isn't really a problem, but I often collected them after the baby fell asleep. It's easy to change my habits for the love of the bucket! Other reasons to love: +Price! (Keep open box for $32!) + Replacement bag price + Canister shape + Very good odor control + Sleek appearance + Easy to remove bag + Foot pedal + Large flap compared to Classic + Lid can be disassembled to become trash with lid (I have not tested this but it was a bonus in my decor choice) Classic: Same benefits as Plus except the hatch is smaller. See photos if that matters to you. For a newborn it doesn't matter but I love the size of our size 5 baby diapers! In addition, the classic can withstand a few diapers less. It doesn't appear to be much smaller than the Plus. I think you'd be happy with either as long as you don't mind changing your bag a bit more often and if hatch size isn't an issue. I have not physically used this one as I plan to return it. I'm sure the door is big enough but since there was a big difference between the two hatches I wanted a bigger one. Stocks cost the same per diaper capacity when I did the math. Overall the Plus seems to be on par with the Genie in terms of capacity, is more convenient to use, holds the smell better as the trapdoor closes so quickly with each use, and is more expensive. Effective. And in the future it can be used as garbage. I'm definitely a decor fanatic!* I think you'll like the Classic too, but nobody wants to change it up more than you. size difference see photos; The size of the hatch was the factor that made me leave the Plus and bring back the Classic. I was hoping the Classic would fit next to our bathroom toilet, but it's too big for the space. I could try the mini, although I imagine the hatch will be a bit small for pull-ups and baby diapers. (Unconfirmed observation, just a guess) The last photo shows Jean compared to Plus.
