This great shoe is the only running shoe my toddler wears without a complaint. We sized down the first shoe my little one wore and because they were so structured she was able to wear them comfortably and securely even though they were technically a few sizes too big. The first pair lasted 2 years. When my toddler consistently rejected more affordable brands—even those with cute princess prints—I finally gave in and ordered these shoes—again, a size or two bigger. We have a happy baby again - taking the shoe off and putting it on is easy for her. We also thought the shoes held up great, although we had to wash them after they got wet from potty training accidents. I have a feeling that we will remain ASICS fans in this house indefinitely. If you have a picky kid, don't waste your money and time on cheap brands! This shoe is worth the investment.
